About the institute
A research institute built for how enterprises actually work
AIKm (AI and Machine Learning Institute for Enterprise Knowledge Management) is a Hong Kong research institute based at Hong Kong Science Park, directed by Ir Dr Hoson H.S. Lam. It advances the use of machine learning in enterprise knowledge management through applied research, consulting and professional training, and is supported by Fellow Members and Board Advisors drawn from leading universities and industry bodies.
Mission
Turning organisational knowledge into a working asset
Every organisation accumulates knowledge: in documents, systems, conversations and the experience of its people. Most of it sits idle. Our mission is to empower organisations with state-of-the-art AI technologies that optimise knowledge processes, enhance decision-making and drive innovation.
We bridge academic research and business reality. Our researchers and data scientists develop algorithms and reference architectures in the lab, then prove them in live enterprise deployments, in Asia's bilingual, fast-moving markets where off-the-shelf answers rarely fit.
AIKm operates from Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks (HKSTP) and works with enterprises, universities and industry bodies across Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and internationally, in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
