The CAIP™ course
Live lectures & proctored exam
The Certified Cognitive AI Professional (CAIP™) course is delivered face-to-face by certified trainers. It combines at least 18 hours of live lectures with a 3-hour proctored examination.

Live lectures with certified trainers
All contact hours are live and in person — no pre-recorded videos, no self-study eLearning. Research indicates that self-study eLearning often leads to rote memorisation rather than real understanding.
- Contact hours
- At least 18 hours of live, face-to-face instruction across seven equally weighted modules.
- Format
- Interactive discussion, case work and governance exercises led by certified trainers — each module is a focused 3-hour session.
- Class size
- Cohorts are kept small to allow direct interaction with trainers and peers from other sectors.
- Language
- Courses are offered in English, Cantonese and Mandarin subject to cohort arrangements.
- Location
- Hong Kong Science Park, Pak Shek Kok, N.T. (in-person), or else and online.
Examination
Proctored in-person examination
CAIP™ certification is granted only after a live, invigilated examination — eliminating remote deepfake impersonation and protecting the value of the credential.
- Duration
- 3 hours of proctored examination, conducted in person.
- Question format
- Approximately 50 multiple-choice questions, conducted progressively (15 questions per 3-hour module).
- Pass mark
- Dynamically calculated per module based on item difficulty. Candidates must pass all sections (approx. 70%–80% benchmark per section).
- Integrity
- Identity is verified on site and exams are invigilated in person throughout.
- Re-sits
- Candidates who do not pass a module may re-sit that module; re-sit fees are listed on the pricing page.
